Willie Addison, III, formerly of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Sunday May, 25, 2025 at CMC Charlotte Atrium Health. A native of Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late Willie Addison, Jr. and Shirley Williams Addison. He was a 1976 graduate of Columbus High School in New York. He enlisted in the United States Army National Guard and was honorably discharged upon completion of his time served.
He was a loyal fan of Prince and a lover of all things purple.
Willie was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rachel Braxton, grandfather, Willie Williams, one aunt, Norma Jean Williams, and three uncles, Reggie Williams, Gary Williams and Berkeley "Sonny" Williams.
He leaves fond memories to his daughter, Sydnee M. Addison (and her mother, Janice M. Addison); son, Ronald (Latoya) T. Harris; two granddaughters, Sa'myria Harris and Toyreana Harris; four brothers, Richard A. (Sheila) Addison, Dennard C. Addison, Timothy Turner, Clarence V. "Dink" (Flo) Townes; two sisters, Linda D. (Harold) Frederick and Melanee L. Addison; two aunts, Margarite Williams, who was like another mother to him, and Bernice Williams; goddaughters, Shaleiah Sanders and Jae'Brianna Armwood; step-mother, Mildred Addison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and Prince fans, all of whom will miss his presence.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
