Walter Louis Bowles

Walter Louis Bowles, 69, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Summit Hills Skilled Nursing Facility. A native of Kansas City, Missouri, he was the husband of Lavern Wofford Bowles and the son of the late Crosby Bowls, and late Annie Bell Watson Bowls. Walter was of Baptist faith and educated in Kansas City, Missouri Public School System. He employed as a craftsman at The Kohler Company. He served his country in the U.S. Armed Forces and was honorably discharged. 

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by four brothers, Chris Bowles, Willie Bowles, Crosby Bowles, Jr., Bobby Bowles; and one sister, Gloria Bell.

Walter is survived by his devoted wife of over forty years, Lavern Bowles; two brothers, Johnny (Nancy) Bowls, and Curtis Bowls; four sisters, Brenda (Danny) Ross, Sheila Gates, Gracie Lacy, and Linda Bowls; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
