Victor Lamar Jeter, 53, of 117 East Lee Street, Union, SC passed away April 13, 2021 in Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center. A native of Union County, SC, he was the son of Emma Gist Jeter of Union, SC and Robert (Sherry) Jeter of Kings Mountain, NC. As a youth, he attended Antioch AME Church. He was a 1985 graduate of Union High School and was employed as a Master Cutter for Quality Enclosures in Marietta, GA. He worked for Carlisle Finishing Cone Mills for a number of years. He was a US Army veteran. He was a avid fan of the Washington Redskins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roderick Keith “Woosie” Jeter and Cameron Jeter; his paternal grandparents, Robert "Bowleg" Jeter, Sr. and Sylvia Young Jeter; and his maternal grandparents, Johnnie Gist and Elizabeth Ashford Gist. Survivors in addition to his parents include one daughter, Victoria Jeter of Union, SC; one brother, Kenneth (Ursula) Jeter of Union, SC; one sister, Latrenda Moncree of Kings Mountain, NC; Brishauna Henderson reared in the home as a daughter and her son, Karson Holland; one stepbrother, Andre (Ashley) Moncree of Maiden, NC; one stepsister, Shikira (Billy) Howze of Kings Mountain, NC; a host nieces and nephews; uncles, Aubrey Jeter of Gaffney, SC, Clarence Jeter of Gaffney, SC, Kenneth Lee (Rhonda) Jeter of Jonesville, SC, and Kelvin Jeter of Albuquerque, NM; aunts, Rosalind Doggette of Union, SC, Andrena (Larry) Jennings of Columbia, SC, Betty Ann Jeter of Union, SC, Barbara Jeter of Roebuck, SC, Jacqueline (Shun) Goforth of Boiling Springs, SC, Cleverland Jeter of Gaffney, SC; Barbara Taylor Jeter of Inman, SC, Helen (Reginald) Banks of Hampton, VA, Ernestine (John) Tucker of Poconos, PA, Juanita Rice of Bronx, NY, and Bessie (Minister Eddie) Griffin of Union, SC; special friend, Anisa Tucker Kilgore of Marietta, GA; and a host of cousins and other relatives. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the chapel of Community Mortuary. Interment will follow in Bethesda Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of his brother, Kenneth Jeter, 104 Hampton Avenue, Union, SC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
