Thomas Young, Jr.

Thomas Young, Jr. 67, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2024, at his residence. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the husband of Joyce Sharon Williams Young and son of both the late Thomas B. Young, Sr., and Elizabeth Amanda Gary Young. Thomas was a graduate of Spartanburg High School in Spartanburg, SC, class of 1974. He worked as a press operator at Beverage-Air. He retired from Aura. He was a member of Majority Baptist Church.

Thomas enjoyed hobbies including fishing, hunting, racing, and watching television shows. His favorite shows were Steve Harvey, any good movie on tv and sports. He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He loved his family first, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Naiomi Jaene Young; and one sister, Virginia Y. Williams. 

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his wife, Joyce Sharon Williams Young; two sons; Thomas Young, III (Ashley); and Zackorian Young; two grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; one brother Kaboria Young; and one sister, Drusilla Young; aunt; Kathyrn (Butch) Jones; three brothers-in law, Fredrick Williams, Michael Williams, and Kenneth (Geneva) Williams; sister-in-law, Angel (Kareen) Collins; uncle-in-law, Wallace (Louise) Williams; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
