Thomas Rodgers

Mr. Thomas Rodgers, 78, of Moore, SC passed away on August 25, 2021 after a long battle with dementia and Covid-19 complications with his family by his side. Born August 6, 1943, a native of Jonesville, SC, he was the son of the late Ms. Emma Lee Rodgers. In addition to his mother he was predeceased by his dearly beloved wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Rodgers and a brother, Mr. John Willie Rodgers.

After many years of service, Thomas retired from Draper Corporation as a skilled Machine Operator.

He was the kind of man who would give his last in the time of need of a helping hand to a friend as well as a total stranger. Anyone who came across his path knew he was a man of immeasurable faith. He was a very devoted  family man.

Left to cherish fond and loving memories are his daughters, Ms. Linda J. Rodgers of the home, who was his caregiver, and Mrs. Rhoda (Joe) Littlejohn of Moore, SC; his brother, Mr. Matthew (Maxie) Rodgers of Greenville, SC; his five grandchildren, Mrs. Teonna (Philip) Brown, Mr. Devin (Ria) Tolbert, Mr. Aaron Tolbert, Ms. Shadonna Littlejohn and Ms. Natasha L. Rodgers who also was a blessing in his caregiving; three great-grandchildren, Trinady Brannon Brown, Jade Rodgers Brown and Jaden I. McKinney; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He will be greatly missed by all his life touched. Rest in peace in your loving Father's arms. 

The family will receive friends at 131 Westside Road, Moore, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
