Thomas James Gregory, Sr.

Thomas James Gregory, Sr., 77, of Spartanburg, SC died on Wednesday morning, September 28, 2022 in Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.  A native of Union County, SC, he was the husband of Mary Louise Gist Gregory of the home and sone of the late Allen Gregory and Maybelle Beatty Gregory.  He was retired from Spartanburg County School District 3. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Gregory and Eugene Gregory and one sister, Joyce Ann Gregory.  Survivors in addition to his wife include two sons, Thomas James Gregory (Celeste Hope Gregory) of Spartanburg, SC and Jason Allen Gregory of the home; three grandchildren, Nehemiah Gregory, Myrakle Sha’Riah Gary, and Honor Deirdre-Sky Gregory; four sisters, Ruby J. Walton of Union, SC, Dorothy Gregory of Chicago, IL, Frances Morman (David) of Union, SC, and Rita Gregory of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
