Stanley "Tre" Clowney, III

Stanley "Tre" Clowney, III, 22, of Union, SC passed away Saturday morning, August 15, 2020.  A native of Union, SC he was the son of Latoya (Tataya "TJ") Smith of Union, SC and Stanley Odell (Stephanie) Clowney, Jr. of Columbia, SC.  He was the maternal grandson of Walker David Glenn, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Glenn of Buffalo, SC and Larry and Ruby Lowrance of Inman, SC.  He was also the paternal grandson of Stanley Odell Clowney, Sr. of Union, SC and Sundres C. Glenn of Union,SC.  Tre attended Monarch Baptist Church and was a 2016 graduate of Union County High School.  His entrepreneurial  spirit led him in several directions.  He was a partner with Metro Express Carriers Trucking Company, president of 864  Dirt Life Boys Club, owner of Swift Graphix & Designs and he worked at Fresh Seafood on Main.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Janie Lee Holmes, Zella Mae Hughes Glenn, Walker D. Glenn, Sr., Odell Clowney and Emma Lee Clowney, and Roosevelt Good and his uncle, Walker D. Glenn, III.  Those who remain to cherish his loving memory, in addition to his parents, include three brothers, Tytavius J. Smith of Union, SC and Elijah O. Clowney and Isaiah O. Clowney both of Columbia, SC; three sisters, Akire A. Clowney and Londyn J. Smith both of Union, SC and Emma Grace Clowney  of Columbia, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.  The family will receive friends at 180 Shady Hill Drive, Union, SC and 218 South Mountain Street, Union, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
