Sonya Rena Byrd

Sonya Rena Dawkins Byrd, 42, of Inman, SC passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the daughter of Betty Jo Kerns – Teamer Dawkins and the late William "Bill" Dawkins, Jr. She was a 1998 graduate of Boiling Springs High School and a former employee of Cooper Standard.  In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Deshaun Calvin Byrd. She leaves precious memories to two daughters, Kiayhna Byrd and Kiasia Byrd; two sisters, Montez Dodd and Natasha Roseburgh (Randolph); one stepsister, Adrienne Leigh Jefferies; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and cousins. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary Inc. 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
