Shirley Jean (Glenn) Simpson

Shirley Jean Glenn Simpson, 76, of Laurens, SC, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Union County, she was daughter of the late John Thomas Jeter and Janie Mae Johnson.

Shirley graduated from Laurens High School, class of 1967. She was formerly employed as a supervisor at Whitten Center. She was a member of Bethel Hall in Laurens, SC.

In addition to her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by one son, Robert Simpson; one sister, Suretha Johnson Burnside; and stepfather, Leonard Coolidge Johnson.

Left to cherish fond and precious memories are one son; Roy Simpson, (Tracy) Jr.; two daughters, Sharon Simpson, and Pamela Simpson; four brothers, Leonard Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Alvin (Tonette), James Johnson; one sister, Lula Meadors; best friend, Lola Stroud; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
