Sandra Nicole Moorman, 50, of 223 General Lee Drive, Union, SC passed away Tuesday morning, September 7, 2021 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Sandra, who was affectionately known as Nikki, was the daughter of the late Clara Mae Glenn Thomas and Blake James Moorman.
Nikki was a 1989 graduate of Union High School and also a graduate of Spartanburg Technical College where she received her Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology. She was an employee of Mary Black Hospital System for more than a decade and worked part-time at Wallace Thomson Hospital, Westside Urgent Care, and Union County Special Needs and Disability Board.
Nikki became a member of Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church at the age of 18.
Left to cherish fond memories are her children, Christopher Demarcus Moorman and Kimberlyn Nichole Moorman; three sisters, Brenda D. Thomas-Gray of Spartanburg, SC, Robin Hope Black (Larry) of Bishop, GA, and Kimberly Faith Thomas of Fayetteville, NC; three brothers, Larry W. Thomas (Alice) of Union, SC, Kenneth E. Thomas (Gloria) of Union, SC, and Ronald D. Thomas (Mary) of Gaffney, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is also survived by her caregiver, Maxine Dunlap (Leroy).
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Walter E. Rice, Jr. and James David Rice and a sister, Jean Moorman.
