Obituary

Funeral services for Ruth Ann Little, 64, of 304 Brockman Heights, Union, SC, will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, September 24, 2021, at St. Luke Baptist Church, 718 Lukesville Rd, Buffalo, SC.  Ruth Ann was the daughter of the late James Elijah Little and Margaret Jennings Little and the sister of the late Deacon Benjamin “Ben” Little. She was a faithful member of Saint Luke Baptist Church, where she served on the young adult choir for many years. She was a 1974 graduate of Union High School where she was a bus driver, homeroom vice president, and member of the Dramatics Club.  She was a 1978 graduate of The University of South Carolina-Spartanburg with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. Ruth Ann worked at Ace Sweater and Monsanto and also worked as an insurance agent with NC Mutual Life Insurance Company until she became disabled.  She is survived by her beloved sister-in-law, Sally Crosby Little; one nephew Benjamin "BJ" (Bridget) Little, Jr., of Spartanburg and one niece, Codie (Tony) Bryant of Tallahassee, FL; and four grand nieces, Reina, Malaya, Kemina, and Samara Bryant. She is also survived by two aunts, Yvonne Johnson of Lauderhill, FL, and Barbara Jennings of Lake Moultrie, SC; one uncle, Harold Dean (Clara) Jennings. She also leaves behind a host of dear cousins and friends.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
