Ronnie Mims

Ronnie Mims, 80, of Union, SC passed away Saturday morning, April 1, 2023 in Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute.  A native of Union, SC, he was the husband of Sarah Frances Poole Mims and the son of the late Benjamin and Melfie Keenan Mims. He attended the public schools of Union County. He  was a member of Word of Life Christian Church. Mr. Mims retired after many dedicated years as a Warp Doffer.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Mims and four sisters, Arrie Sartor, Ruth Carter, Mozell Mims, and Peggy Backus.

He leaves fond and precious memories to his devoted wife, Sarah Frances Poole Mims; two sons, Pastor Ronnie Fitzgerald (Carol) Mims and Christopher Bernard Mims; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; one brother, Benjamin Mims, Jr.; one sister, Mable Robinson; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will sorely miss him. 

The family will receive friends at 205 Foster Street, Union, SC.

Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
