On Sunday, August 2, 2020, Robert "RB" Glenn, Sr. a loving father and grandfather who doted on his family, died at age 90 with his family by his side. Robert was born on May 11, 1930 in Union, SC to Lloyd Glenn and Ola Thompson-Glenn. His parents owned a farm. He attended Brown Creek Elementary School which was located on said farm. He was a kind and loving brother who enjoyed driving fast cars, having fun, and making people laugh. He was our mother’s favorite son. He wanted to experience the city, so he went to New York where he spent 30 or so years. He worked there first in the factory and later as a taxi driver. After some time, he realized the risks that came along with being in the city were too much for him, so he decided to return to his roots at the family farm where he remained until his death. Not one to sit around and idle, he became an entrepreneur and opened a trailer park on the family farm. He raised rabbits and chickens, played with his grandchildren, and hunted in his free time. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Hazel Glenn and Deborah Broughton; five brothers, S. T. Glenn, Henry Glenn, Dave Glenn, Leroy Glenn, and Charlie Glenn; and three sisters, Ola Mae Glenn, Alma Rodgers, and Bertha Glenn. He is survived by one son, Robert Glenn, Jr.; two daughters, Shelly Glenn and Pamela (Dwayne) Thomas; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Texanna Taietta; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
