Robert Cheek

Robert Cheek, 82, of Carlisle, SC, passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Union Medical Center. A native of Chester, SC, he was the husband of Ruby Lea Jennings Cheek and son of the late John Carter and late Alma Cheek Sims. Robert graduated from Sims High School, class of 1962. He was a retired Brick Mason at Greenway.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, John Allen Cheek, and James William Sims; five sisters, Lillie Mae Tucker, Mattie Louise Harris, Ardell Minter, Patrica Steed, and Glenda B. Davis.

Robert leaves precious memories to his beloved wife, Ruby Cheek; two daughters, Ruby (Barry) Williams, and Markayla Cheek; raised in the home like a daughter, Brianna Gregory; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother Andrew Bernard Sims; six sisters, Virginia Epps, Amy Sims, Autheree Jeter, Florence Ann Ruth, Janice Wright and Mirian Talford; two brothers-in-law, Pete Evans, and Larry (Andrena) Jennings; three sisters-in-law, Alberta Shelton, Judy (Woodrow) Jeter, and Essie Mae Jennings; and a host of other relatives and friends all whom will miss him dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary Inc. 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
