Richard Carroll Butler

Richard Carroll Butler, 78, of Moore, SC, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 19, 2022, at his residence. A native of Charlotte, NC, he was the husband of Rossalyn Elaine Booker Butler, and the son of the late Henry Richard Carroll Butler and Juanita Jacqueline Wilson Butler.

He was a member of New Hope AMEZ Church of Union, SC. He was a 1962 graduate of West Charlotte Senior High School and attended North Carolina A & T State University. Mr. Butler retired from Telamon Corporation after many years of service as a Case Manager.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Doris Butler Cameron.

In addition to his wife, he leaves to cherish precious memories one son, Justin R. Butler, Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Desdemona Butler, Houston, TX and Alysia D. Butler, MacDill AirForce Base, Tampa, FL; two grandchildren, Moriah White and Jonathan Wooden; and a host of cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends, all of whom will sorely miss him. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
