Reverend Carolyn Ann Evans, 65, of 205 Carlisle-Santuc School Road, Union, SC passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 7, 2021 at her residence. A native of Union, SC, she was the wife of Pete Evans and the daughter of the late Willie Jennings, Sr. and Ruby Smith Jennings. She was a graduate of Union high School and a former employee of Union Mills. She currently served as assistant pastor at Thomas Chapel AME Church and previously served as pastor of New Chapel AME Church. Reverend Evans was also a member and president of the Women's Home Mission Aid Society-Sub #2. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Eddie Jennings, Joseph Jennings, James Smith, Marvelous Jennings, Willie "June" Jennings, and Alphonso Kelly and two sisters, Louella Jennings and Kathryn Jennings Thompson. In addition to her husband, she leaves fond memories to two sons, Andrea Jennings and Kelvin Jennings; one daughter, Kimberly (Willie) Stephens; nine grandchildren, Keamondria Brannon, Deandre Jennings, Shakera Jennings, Chalise Morman, D'angelo Means, Kayla Jennings, Nathaniel Smith, Evan Payne, Khloe Stephens; one brother, Larry (Andrena) Jennings; four sisters, Judy (Woodrow) Jeter, Ruby (Robert) Cheek, Essie Mae Jennings, Alberta Shelton; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends, all of whom will sorely miss her. Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 11, 2021 in the Thomas Chapel AME Church Cemetery. The family will received friends at the home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
