Reverend Amy Beasley Worthy, 52, of Carlisle, SC entered into eternal rest on Friday afternoon, October 30, 2020 in Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Union County, SC, she was the widow of Hubbie Terry Worthy and daughter of the late Jerome Beasley, Sr. and Ophelia Spencer “Sugar” Beasley. She first joined James Baptist Chapel Church and later became a member of Sims Chapel Baptist Church where she served as associate minister. She was a 1986 graduate of Union High School and earned an associate degree from Grand Canyon University. She was retired from Sims Middle School and later returned to work part-time at Monarch Elementary School as a n attendance clerk until her illness . In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mackenzie Worthy; three brothers, Lovic Eugene Booker, Timothy Beasley and Peter Booker; and two sisters, Marian B. Thompson and Marie Edwards. She survived by one daughter, Jai’lyn Ailse' Worthy; one stepdaughter, India Worthy; two stepsons, Terry Lamont (Veeta) Worthy and Marquise Worthy; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jerome (Sharon) Beasley and Kelvin Bruce Beasley; four sisters, Helen Suber, Olivia Beasley Young, C. Anita Beasley, and Lorenda Beasley (Reggie); reared in the home as a brother and sister, Vance (Mary) Booker and Vera (James) Jeter; sister-in-law, Mary Beasley; brothers-in-law, Donnie Worthy and Ricky (Priscilla) Worthy; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins including three who were like brother, Howard Dewayne Hooker, Jason Lamont Spencer, and McArthur Gist. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2020 at 12 noon at Sims Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home. Anyone who wishes to honor Reverend Amy Beasley Worthy is requested to omit flowers and make a contribution to her daughter’s college fund via Jai’lyn Ailse' Worthy.
