Reuben “Rudy” Augustus Johnson Jr. was born the second child of the late Mary Ruth (Henry) Johnson and Reuben Augustus Johnson Sr. in Queens, NY on May 7, 1949.

Rudy was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ruth (Henry) Johnson, father, Reuben A. Johnson Sr., sister, Deborah Carr Johnson, brother, Charles Raymond Johnson, and son, Darius Gibbs Johnson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: wife, Diane Johnson, daughter Vernell Johnson, son Reuben Johnson III, daughter Tiffany Johnson, son, Kareem Reid & stepdaughter Tanya Jiggetts; grandchildren, Malik, Daryl, Christina, Calik, Tyrek and Keyshawn; great grandchildren, Janiah, Mariah, Amil, Madison, Malun', Amiana, Charlie, Santana, Chace, Kiyomi and Stephan; one sister-in-law, Mary (Charles) Johnson; brother-in-law, Russell (Pam) Gibbs; special niece, Nykia Johnson, special nephew, Charles Sartor; special cousins, Joe, Shirley, Pearleen and Sandy and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved and will miss him dearly. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
