Reola Coleman Obituary

Reola Mary Hardy Coleman, 89, of 710 Arthur Boulevard, Union, SC passed away Wednesday morning, February 3, 2021 in Spartanburg Medical Center.  A native of Union County, SC she was the widow of Ray Coleman, Sr. and the daughter of the late Kemper Hardy and Mamie Gilliam Hardy.  She was a member of Rice Chapel AME Zion Church.  She attended the public schools of Union County and was a homemaker.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Isaac Hardy, Robert Hardy, Leroy Hardy, and James Hardy, and one sister, Jessie Hardy. She is survived by three sons, Ray Anthony Coleman (Dereka) of Covington, GA, Micheal Anthony Coleman (Ana) of El Paso, TX, and Mark Anthony of Union, SC; four daughters, Lillie McKanic of Union, SC, Mamie Marie Collins (Rodney) of Spartanburg, SC, Teresa Shepherd of Spartanburg, SC, Janie Coleman Brown (Cloderick) of Union, SC; twenty-two grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister Margaretee Garner of Union, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends at 133 John Lancaster Road, Spartanburg, SC. Funeral services will be help 2:00pm on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Rice Chapel AME Zion Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
