Paula Eyvonne Thompson, 50, of 464 Granada Drive, Spartanburg, SC, was born July 22, 1969 in Union, SC. A native of Union county, SC, she was the daughter of the late Owens Thompson and Mary Virginia Mitchell Thompson. Paula’s life was turned around by the influence of her mother, Mary and her mother-like figures, Sugar Beasley and Phyllis Hope Jennings. She joined James Chapel Baptist Church in the early 90’ s and later joined Mount Sinai Outreach. She was a graduate of Union County Schools and Spartanburg Community College. She was well educated with degrees in finance and healthcare. She was a shipping clerk with Rite Aid Distribution Center and a certified tax pro with H & R Block. Paula entered eternal rest on Sunday morning, September 29, 2019 in Spartanburg Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Jean Jeter. She leaves precious memories to her fiancé, Pernell Wofford of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter, Melaine (Emmanuel) Thompson-Bell of Union, SC; one son, Bruce Ronterror Thompson of the home; god daughter, Demetria (Michael) Walton of Buffalo, SC; two grandchildren, Alexis Thompson and Amarriah Thompson; five brothers, Roy James Jeter, Harold (Hazel) Jeter, Anthony Thompson, Scotty (Sandra Jeter) Thompson, and Tyrone Thompson; Scotty Thompson (Sandra Jeter), and Anthony Thompson all of Union, SC; two special nieces, Joy Jeter of Union, SC and Cynthia (Edward, Jr.) Aiken of Columbia, SC; two special nephews, Sgt. Jeffrey Jeter of Washington, DC and John Jeter of Spartanburg, SC; sister-like friends, Amy Worthy, Anita Beasley, Lorenda Beasley, Olivia Young, Mae Johnson, and Ladrunica Patterson; special friends, Marquina Mills, Anita Johnson, Tammy Houston; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Saint Paul Baptist Church. Bishop Terry McCaskill will officiate. The family will receive friends at 202 Munro Street, Union, SC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
