Patricia Ann (Petty) Thompson

Patricia Ann Petty Thompson, 74, of 321 Allen Street, Spartanburg, SC passed away December 30, 2019 in Valley Falls Terrace nursing Home.  A native of Spartanburg County, SC, she was the widow of Oscar Joe Thompson and the daughter of the late Johnny Scott and Odell Petty.  She was a member of Community Bible Believers Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughter, Shirley Ann Scott Hughes; brother, Roman Rodgers Petty; and sisters, Bessie Lee Stevens, Ammie Maude Petty, Johnny Ruth Rodgers "Jolly", Carolyn Petty, and Laura Ann Petty.  She is survived by one son, Oscar Means (Tracie) of Inman, SC; five grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; one sister, Lillie Pearl Canty Cohen (Willie) of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Community Bible Believers Church with burial in Cedarwood Cemetery at East Spartanburg.  The family will receive friends at 107 Etna Court, Inman, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
