Parlee Epps, Jr.

Parlee Epps Jr., 87, of Union, SC, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at his residence. A native of Union County, SC, he was husband of Barbara Jean Jeter Epps and son of the late Parlee Epps, Sr. and Luella Jeter Epps. He was educated in the public schools of Union County. At an early age, he joined Thomas Chapel AME Church. He retired from the U.S. Forest Service Dept. of Agriculture after twenty-seven years of dedicated service.

Mr. Epps was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Harris, and two sisters, Annie Ruth Hamilton and Ethel Hamilton.

He leaves loving memories to his wife, Barbara Epps of the home; one daughter, Patricia (Thomas) Morgan; one granddaughter, Shayna (Corey) Mitchell; two great-grandchildren, Morgan and Mekhi Mitchell; one sister, Susie Mae McMorris; and host of cousins, other relatives, neighbors and friends, all of whom will sorely miss him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
