Olivia Rogers Mintz ‘Nan” Bobo, 79, formerly of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, at her residence in Stem, NC. A native of Union County, SC, she was the widow of Johnny Bobo and daughter of both the late Theodore Rogers, Sr., and Willene Foster Rogers Hughes. She attended Carver High School in Spartanburg, SC. She was a member of Stephen Grove AME Zion Church in Spartanburg. “Nan” as she was affectionately known, was a dedicated CNA for over thirty-five years and served others with compassion, oftentimes placing their needs ahead of her own. She had a servant’s heart.
In addition to her late husband, and parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers; Ernest Rogers, Theodore Rogers, Jr., and Rayford Rogers; one sister, Vera Gladys Rogers.
She is survived by two daughters, Denise (Terrance) Gilliam, and Jacqueline (Recardo) Kersey; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one special friend Shirley Miller; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
