Monzella "Mickey" Edwards

Monzella Edwards, 57, passed away on November 25, 2023 while in Hospice at Magnolia Manor in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She was born on December 5, 1965. She was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Edwards Sr. and Ruby Lee Johnson Edwards. Monzella battled ovarian cancer for five months, but that did not stop her from pursuing God or loving her family. She loved to attend church every Sunday and bible study. She adored spending time with her children.

Ms. “Mickey”, as she was affectionately known, will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laughter, jokes, and strong spirit. She was preceded in death by one sister, Lisa Johnson; and her partner, Mr. Robert Clyde Wallace.

Surviving are her children; three sons, Cedric Edwards, Jimmy Edwards, and Alvin (Tyesha) Edwards; three daughters, Casandra Edwards, Annie Edwards, and Charlotte Edwards; eleven grandchildren; two brothers, Roosevelt Edwards Jr. and Donald Douglas Edwards; two sisters, Debra Johnson and Angela Edwards; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins all of whom will miss her dearly. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Ave. Spartanburg, SC.
