Minnie Ruth (Hopkins) Talley

Minnie Ruth Hopkins Talley, 86, of 233 Vaughn Road,  Union, SC passed away February 3, 2020 in Spartanburg Medical Center.  A native of Union County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Will "Jack" Hopkins  and Hettie Woods Hopkins.  She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kelton, SC.  She attended Sims High School and was a former employee of Mayfair Mills and Greenleaf, Inc.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Freddie Dean Talley and Morris William "Billy" Talley ; one daughter, Beverly Kelly; two brothers, Arthur Lee Hopkins and Curtis P. Hopkins; and three sisters, Amanda Hopkins, Augusta Brannon, and Maggie Rodgers .  She is survived by one son, Michael A. Talley of Spartanburg, SC; one daughter, Debra Robinson of Spartanburg, SC; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Willie Bradley and Alma Glenn; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The family will receive friends at the home of Yolanda Kershaw, 120 Cottonwood Street, Jonesville, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC
