Minnie Mae (Foster) King

Minnie Mae Foster King, 74, of 226 Edenbridge Lane, Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Spartanburg Medical Center. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the widow of Leroy Franklin King and the daughter of the late Olin Spears Foster and Sarah Betty Garrett Foster.

She was a 1964 graduate of Carver High School and was formerly employed as a Sales Associate for Belk Department Store. Ms. King was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving on the church choir. She was member of VFW Post #9349 and the Order of the Eastern Star. 

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Olin Hayes Foster and one sister, Betty Elizabeth Foster. 

She leaves precious and fond memories to one son, John Wesley Duncan, III; three daughters, Beverly Denise Carter, Kimberly Aleatha (Jesse) Canty, and Ashley Kristina King; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Harold Foster; one sister, Pauline Yvonne Cohen; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
