Melvin D. Gory

Melvin Donell Gory, husband of Ebony McAlister Gory and son of Harold H. Smith and Curlee Gory, was born in Union County, SC on April 20, 1972.  He departed this earthly life on Monday, September 20, 2021, in the Spartanburg Medical Center.

Melvin was a 1991 graduate of Jonesville High School.

He leaves precious memories to his beloved wife, Ebony Gory of the home; his parents, Harold H. Smith of Kelton, SC and Curlee Gory of Union, SC; two sons, LeBryan Marquise Thomas, Melvin Donnelle Gory, Jr.; one daughter, Murina Michelle Gory; stepdaughter, Ka'Tyggie Monniyha Smith; three grandchildren, Sincier Donnelle Gory, Ka"Mari MarQuise Thomas, and Skyler Jhene Gory; one brother, Donnie Mondrell Gory; his mother-in-law, Ellen Reba McAlister; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc. 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
