Medora Washington Glenn McBeth, 96, of Enoree, SC, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024. She was born on February 22, 1928 in Weirton, West Virginia to the late Mr. Harry Thomas Glenn and Ms. Hattie Belle Gist. She moved to Santuc, S.C., with her grandparents after the death of her parents. She then moved to Cross Keys, S.C., where she married Robert McBeth Sr., and had five children. She worked at Whitten Center until she retired. After retiring, she spent her time with family, friends, and church, all of whom she loved dearly.
She accepted Christ at an early age, then she became a member at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Harry Thomas Glenn and Hattie Belle Gist, her husband, Robert McBeth Sr., siblings, Mildred Alexander, Margaret Fleming, Selena Mackey, and Yoeman Glenn, Sons, Samuel McBeth, Matthew “Matt” McBeth, and Malachi McBeth Sr., and grandchildren, Malachi McBeth Jr. and Brian Martin.
Cherishing her memories are her children, Bernetta (James) Smiley of Laurens, S.C., Vivian (Paul) Smith of the home, and Robert McBeth Jr. of Woodruff, S.C., sister in law, Victoria (Joe Lewis) Browning of Cross Keys, S.C.; nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great children, four great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc. 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
