Mary Lee Hall Rainwater, 81, of Union, SC, peacefully transitioned on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at her home. A native of Union County, she was born on Thursday, March 30, 1944. She was the wife of Lovett Rainwater and daughter of the late Bo Hall and Isabell Young Hall.
Mary, affectionately called “Mae Lee” and "Bull" was educated in the Union County public school system. She retired from Buffalo Mill after many dedicated years. She was a member of St. Luke Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by one grandson, Terrance Peake; two brothers, Robert Allen Hall, and Clint Hall; and one sister, Annie Ruth Hall.
She leaves to cherish fond memories to her husband Lovett Rainwater; five sons, Robert (Sue) Hall, David Hall, Eugene Peake, Collins Peake, and Ricky (Trena) Peake; three daughters, Irene Thomas, Maritha Gilliam, and April (Cliff) Rice; eleven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and a number of great-great- grandchildren; one brother, Freddie “Jim” (Jessie) Hall; three sisters, Everle (James) Smith, Jimmie Sue Epps, and Gladys Jeter; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
