Mary (Gaston) Hopkins

Mary Gaston Hopkins, 88, of Spartanburg, SC passed away Saturday afternoon, October 17, 2020 in White Oak Manor Spartanburg. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Young and Corrie Gaston. She was a member of The United House of Prayer and was a homemaker. She was predeceased by two daughters, Gwendolyn Hopkins and Dianne Hopkins; two sons, Lonnie Hopkins and Charles Gaston; one grandson, Gerald Oglesby; five brothers, Johnny Gaston, James Gaston, Walter Gaston, Willie Gaston and Joseph Gaston; two sisters, Carrie Alexander and Elb Gaston. Mrs. Hopkins leaves fond memories to three sons, Gerald Hopkins (Dhrma) of Columbia, SC, James Hopkins (Beverly) of Spartanburg, SC,  and Rev. Joseph Hopkins (Tammy) of Boiling Springs; one daughter, Sarah Crosby (Anthony) of Spartanburg, SC; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at 209 Seneca Court, Spartanburg, SC.  Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
