Martha Lizzie "Nig" Harris

Martha Lizzie "Nig" Harris, 91, of 287 Eisontown Road, Jonesville, SC entered eternal rest on January 13, 2020 at the Heartland Health Care Center-Union.  A native of Adanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late George Harris and Ethel Greer Harris.  Ms. Harris was a member of Mount Rowell Baptist Church and a former employee of United Merchants Buffalo and Union Mills.  She was educated in the Union County Schools system.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.  She is survived by four sons, Willie Earl (Elizabeth) Harris of Union, SC, Fred Roy Harris of Kelton, SC, Ulysses Ezell (Benita) Harris of Union, SC, and Boyd Kennedy Harris of Lilburn, GA; two brothers, George (Ann) Harris of Union, SC and Willie (Gladys) Harris of Jonesville, SC; one sister, Patricia Harris of Jonesville, SC; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; special neice, Doris Mae Hardy of Kelton, SC; special nephew, Herman (Alicia) Harris of Chester, SC; neices, nephews, cousins, and host of other loving relatives and friends.  The family is meeting at the home of her sister located at 114 Hart Road, Kelton, SC.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 at Mount Rowell Baptist Church located at 534 Adams Lake Road, Union, SC at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will take place after the service in the church cemetery.  Reverend Dr. Larry D. Murphy and Reverend George Sims officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Community Mortuary Union 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
