Mark Kent “Blue” Spencer, 66, of 115 Carlisle Street, passed away on January 3, 2025. A native of Carlisle, SC, he was the widower of Cynthia Spencer and son of the late Deacon Mike Spencer, Sr., and Dorothy Dean Kelly Spencer.
Mark was affectionately known as “Blue” to everyone. He was educated in the Union County School District. He was formally employed as a trackman for CSX Railroad. He joined Outreach Deliverance Church.
In addition to his wife and parents, “Blue” was preceded in death by one brother, Joe William Kelly.
Survivors left to cherish precious and fond memories include three sons, Marcus Jermaine (Stephanie) Spencer, Kenneth Jemar Spencer, and Justin Rashad Spencer; one daughter, Demetria (John) Terry-Thomas all of Greenwood, SC; fourteen grandchildren; three brothers, Mike J. (Dianne) Spencer, Jr., Keith O’Bryant (Evangelist Maxine) Spencer both of Carlisle, SC, and Rev. Charles E. (Lauren) Spencer of Dayton, OH; two sisters, Carolyn Spencer Hardy, and Kathy Spencer (Pastor Eddie) McConnell both of Carlisle, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends all of whom will miss him dearly.
Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
