Marion "Rett Toe" Hoey

Marion "Rett Toe" Hoey, 86, of 7 Lynwood Drive, Spartanburg, SC passed away Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2020 in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.  A native of Pacolet, SC, he was the husband of Janie margaret Palmer Hoey of the home and the son of the late Nathan Hoey and Lillie Bell Littlejohn.  He was retired from Milliken Manufacturing after thirty years of service.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Juanita Wallace, Celestine Hudson, Hazel Smith, and Bertha Middleton.  Survivors in addition to his wife include one son, Booker T. Hoey of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Lily Turner and Cynthia Ferguson both of Spartanburg, SC; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends,  The family will receive friends at the home.   Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
