Mamie Louise (Cheek) Stafford

Mamie Louise Cheek Stafford, 86, of Cambria Heights, NY, passed on Saturday, October 22, 2022. A native of Union, SC, she was the wife of William Stafford and daughter of the late Frank Cheek, Sr. and Gertrude Curenton Cheek.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank "Bobo" Cheek, Jr. and five sisters, Virginia Cheek Beatty, Mary Cheek Glenn, Beatrice Cheek McMullin, Ethel Lee Cheek, and Freddie Mae Cheek "Freda" Dean.

She leaves precious memories to her husband, William Stafford; sisters, Frances Cheek and Patricia (John) Hooker both of Union, SC; one aunt, Minnie (Ralph) Davis of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
