Mahogany Syvadda “Mojo” Beasley was born on October 19, 1999, to Barbara B. Beasley and Leonard T. Leach, Jr. at Greenville Memorial Hospital. She began elementary school in Amherst, Massachusetts and she completed elementary school at E. N. Street Elementary School in Greenville, SC. She matriculated through Greenville County school system graduating from Legacy Early College High School May 26, 2018. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. She was an employee with Dunlop Sports Americas in Fountain Inn, SC. She was small in stature, but big in spirit with a smile that lit up any room she entered. Mojo was a dynamic point guard, she never stopped trying and she never backed down. She was like lightening, now you see her now you don’t. To know her was to love her.
She leaves precious memories to her grandmother, Patrice Harris of the home; parents, Leonard Leach, Jr. and Barbara B. Beasley; brothers, Terrance “TJ” Glover, Evieji McCrary, Jakobe McCrary, Cam McCrary, and Benjamin Kingston G. Leach; sisters, Bella McCrary and Paris Beasley; paternal grandfather, Leonard Leach, Sr.; aunts, Diane Singfield, Barbara Cook, Malinda Harris and Stacia Leach Lomax, and Veronica Leach; uncle, Justin Leach; a host of cousins including a special cousin, Trevice Harris; her extended family, Stashonna Smith, Jaydene Amir Smith, Tracy Smith, and Tyiefa Powell.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Barbara and Billy Harris; maternal grandfather, Mack Beasley; paternal grandmother, Rosetta Jenkins Leach; paternal great grandparents. Sam David Jenkins and Lillie Mae Boyd Jenkins; and special uncle, Homer Parks. Services entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc. 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
