Lonnie Spears

Lonnie Spears, husband of Odell Patricia Spears and the son of the late Wilson Spears, Sr. and Annie Mae Jeter Spears, was born on September 30, 1954. He entered eternal rest on May 29, 2023, at Union Medical Center, Union, SC 29379.

Lonnie, affectionately known as "Pony", gave his life to Christ at an early age. He attended Union County Public Schools. He retired from the Union Housing Authority after many years of service. His favorite pastime was fishing.

In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by three brothers, James Williams Spears, Wilson Spears, Jr., and Willie Spears Sr. and sister; Mary Lee Shell.

Lonnie leaves precious memories to his dear wife of forty-nine years, Odell Patricia Spears; his four loving daughters; Erica (William) Jeter, Aisha Spears, Tasha Spears, and Lawanda Spears; one son; Antonio Hughes; fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Annie Elizabeth (George, Sr.) Sims; seven sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law; a special nephew, George Sims, Jr.; and a host of nieces, other nephews, cousins, and friends.
