Lizzie Ruth Drummond, 87, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025, at Physical Rehab and Wellness Center of Spartanburg. A native of Spartanburg County, she was the widow of John Drummond and daughter of the late Albert Dawkins and Elnora Hopkins.
Lizzie attended Carver High School in Spartanburg, SC. She worked for many years as a packer at S&S Manufacturing Company in Spartanburg. She was a member of Lower Shady Grove Baptist Church. She loved traveling, playing Bingo, arts and crafts, and dressing up.
In addition to her husband and parents, Lizzie is preceded in death by two sisters Sallie D. Clarke and Tina Hampton; brother, Clarence Albert Dawkins; aunt, Harriet Loureace Kelly; and great niece Tammie Foster.
Left to cherish fond and precious memories are her three sons; John Drummond, Jarvison Drummond (Kristina Barksdale), and Paul Drummond; five grandchildren, Measha Barksdale, Asia Drummond, Ashley Drummond, Byron Barksdale, Porcha Barksdale; and four great-grandchildren; three nieces, Sharon Clarke, Harriett Clarke, and Brenda Simmons; and a host of other relatives and friends all of whom will miss her dearly.
The family will received friends at 345 Bryant Road, Apt E2, Spartanburg, SC. Arrangements have been entrusted with Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
