Linda Jean Byrd

Linda Jean Byrd, 70, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away at her residence on June 17, 2026. A native of Spartanburg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Mae Davis Green. She was educated in the Spartanburg County public school system. She earned her living working in Food Service, holding positions at several restaurants and cafeterias throughout her life. She was a dedicated and well respected employee who was an asset to the companies she worked with.

Linda was known and loved as a person with a helpful nature. She loved her family deeply and she adored cats. Linda was very outspoken and funny which made her the life of the party wherever she went. She will be sorely missed by her community of neighbors and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. She leaves fond and precious memories to three sisters, Carol  Maybin, Patricia Wynn, and Anita Henderson; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, all of whom will miss her presence. A memorial service will be held in her honor at 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Community Mortuary, Spartanburg.
