Lillie Mae (Ross) Bonds

Lillie Mae Ross Bonds, 91, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. A native of Union, SC, she was the widow of James Harris Bonds and the daughter of the late Foster and Carrie Henderson Ross. She was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church, Spartanburg. Mrs. Bonds was a graduate of Lincoln High School and retired from Mayfair Mills after many years of dedicated service. 

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Linda Bonds; eight brothers, Isaac Ross, Johnny Goforth, Willie Ross, Sr., Foster Ross, Jr., David Ross, Greenlee Ross, Robert Roosevelt Ross, and Brook Ross; and four sisters, Elizabeth Jeter, Helen Prysock, Lucille Rice and Carrie Lee Rush. 

She leaves to cherish fond memories one son, Elder James (Vera) Bonds of Spartanburg, SC; two daughters, Sharon Bonds and Rose Bonds both of Spartanburg, SC; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel (Barbara) Ross of Columbia, SC; two sisters, Annie Evans of Crestview, FL and Lucy Ann Young of Columbus, GA; and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will sorely miss her. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
