Leroy "Elroy" Manigan

Leroy "Elroy" Manigan, 77, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at Prisma Health Richland Campus in Columbia, SC. A native of Spartanburg, SC, he was the son of the late Robert Manigan and Lorraine Thompson. He was educated in the public schools of Spartanburg County and was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Leroy retired from Mountain View Nursing Home after many years of unwavering service.

In his spare time, Leroy loved to go fishing. When he wasn't working at the nursing home, he was a skilled painter and enjoyed using this gift for those in and around his community. 

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Thompson, Betty Thompson, and Sharon Wilkins.

Leroy leaves precious memories to his son, Omari (Johnanna) Williams; granddaughter, Johnmaria Williams; step-grandson, Johnall Gilliam; two brothers, Larry (Karen) Wilkins and Tim (Kim) Parks; six sisters, Yvonne Foster, Patricia Manigan, Janice Williams, Brenda Young, Marsha Moss and Anita Rosenburg; a host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
