Leroy Darby

     Leroy Darby, husband of Debra Ann Gore Darby and son of the late Leanears Darby and Martha Louella Osborne Darby, was born in York County, SC on August 18, 1950.  He entered eternal rest on Friday, May 17, 2024 in the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

     Leroy was a graduate of Jefferson High School in York, SC. He worked for many years in the textile industry at Millikin and Company.  He ended a successful work after his retirement from Disney Distribution.

     He was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Charlie Richard Darby and Arthur Noon Darby Darby; and one sister, Carolee Darby.

     He leaves precious memories to his devoted wife, Debra Darby; one son, Mark Darby; two daughters, Lashelle Burris and Chavonda (Pastor Calvin) Gallman; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four brothers, Willie Osborne, Jimmy Darby, Whitnie (Karen) Darby, and Steve (Sandra) Darby; four sisters, Maggie Ruth Burriss, Desse Burriss, Martha Ann Finely, and Broncella McCree; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
