Lee Arthur Lyles

Mr. Lee Arthur Lyles was born to the late Agnes Ruth (Woodruff) Lyles and the late Robert Alfred Lyles, on June 18, 1945. He departed this life on December 8, 2023 after a brief illness at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was preceded in death, along with his parents by his forever love Asta Marie Chambers-Lyles; two grandsons, Adrian Meadors and Marlow Ferguson; by his siblings Mary Sartor, Nancy Irby, Nora Lee Miller, Douglas Lyles, Alfred Lyles, and Ernestine Bankhead.

He will be remembered and cherished by his children Tamara Makeupson, Terra (Marvin) Black, Terry (Lisa) Lyles, Willie Meador, Lisa Lyles, Nicole Chambers, Cassandra (Kelvin) Gilliam, Levonia Chambers, Audrey Chambers, Natalie Chambers; a brother Marshell (Lavida) Lyles; and two sisters, Roberta (Sylvester) Sims and Lillian (Michael) Wofford; fifteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives whom loved and cherished their Papa, and Uncle Lee.

For 78 years, our Dad and Papa, lived his life on his terms, unapologetically with a fierceness of protection that will be carried on in each of us. Although we mourn him now, we will forever celebrate his life!
