Lawrence Johnson Obituary

Lawrence Watus Johnson, 68, was born in Washington, DC on September 9, 1955.  He entered eternal rest on February 10, 2024, in Spartanburg Medical Center. He was the husband of Linda Walker Johnson and the son of the late Watus Johnson and Elizabeth Stewart Johnson.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Miricle Madashia Johnson; one brother, Ricky Ricardo Johnson; and stepmother, Ramona Johnson.

Lawrence was a graduate of Union High School, class of 1974. He earned a living as a truck driver for Milliken and Company and was a former employee of the city police as a Law Enforcement Officer. He was a member of Farmers Enterprise Masonic Lodge #280. He was a member of Wyatt’s Chapel Baptist Church in Buffalo, SC.

Lawrence is survived by his wife, Linda Johnson; one son, Stanislaus (Tonia) Johnson; one daughter, Latoya Johnson; six grandchildren; one sister, Teresa (Keith) Fulton; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends at 453 Joe Walker Road, Union, SC.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
