Lamar Ellis Stewart

Lamar Ellis Stewart, 68, of Columbia, SC, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at MUSC- Columbia. A native of Union, SC, he was the son of Freddie Stewart and the late Wilhelmina Crosby Samuel. He was a graduate of Union High School class of 1975. He earned an Associate Degree in Business from Spartanburg Technical College. Lamar also served his country in the Unites States Army and later served in the National Guard. He attended Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Columbia, SC.

In addition to his mother, Lamar was preceded in death by two brothers, Christopher Louis "Bugaloo" Stewart and William Crawford, Jr.

He leaves precious memories to two daughters, Brienna Stewart and Tassica Stewart; three grandchildren, Yariah Stewart, Tyla Stewart and My' Son Grant; his father, Freddie Stewart; two sisters, Michelle Thomas and Gwendolyn Jefferies; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relattives and dear friends who will sorely miss his earthly presence.
