Junior Alonzo Richardson, 74, of Spartanburg, SC was born in Glendale, SC on September 22, 1948. He was the son of the late Dunt Richardson and Lillie Bell Gory Richardson.
He was 1968 graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School. He served in the US Army and received the National Defense Service Medal.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Brown. He was retired as a welder from Firestone.
He leaves precious memories to one daughter, Vanita “Colette” Grier of Spartanburg, SC; two grandchildren, Nicole Byars and Jhaquez Colston; three brothers, Floyd (Pearl) Black of Greenville, SC, Lee Arthur Richardson of Spartanburg, SC, and Jeffrey (Kay) Richardson of Augusta, GA; two sisters, Lula Belle Richardson of Pacolet, SC, and Bessie Smith of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
