Julius Long

Julius Long, 74, of Spartanburg, SC was born on December 21, 1949, and passed away on July 24, 2024. He was the son of both the late Wright “Pops” Long, Jr., and Katie Tucker Long.

Julius was a 1970 Carver High School graduate in Spartanburg, SC, and retired from BMW. He also attended USC-Spartanburg. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was a bicycle enthusiast.

In addition to his parents, Julius was preceded in death by two brothers, Sam Johnson, Jr., and James E. Long; and two sisters, Beatrice Long, and Annie Mildred Long.

Julius is survived by two daughters; Aleicia S. Long, and Adrienne S. Long; one grandson, Kasen A. Long; two brothers, Wright (Gwendolyn) Long, III, and Joseph (Ellen) Long; four sisters, Grace Sibert, Greta Long, Kay (James) Brannon, and Patsy Long; a special sister, Amanda “Penny” McKissick; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends whom will greatly miss him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc. 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
