Judy Kate Jennings Jeter was born October 22, 1949. She was the wife of Woodrow Jeter, Jr., and the daughter of the late Willie Jennings and Ruby Smith Jennings. She departed this earthly life on July 26, 2025 at Union Medical Center.
She attended Sims High School and was a former employee of Union Mills and Kohler Company. She was currently employed with Union County Schools. She was a faithful member of Bethesda Baptist Church where she served on the Pulpit Aide, Pastor's Aide, and the Bethesda Mass Choir.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Eddie Jennings, Joseph Jennings, James Smith, Marvelous Jennings, Willie “June” Jennings, and Alphonso Kelly; three sisters, Louella Jennings, Carolyn Ann Jennings Evans, and Kathryn Jennings Thompson.
In addition to her devoted husband, she leaves to cherish her memories; one daughter, April (Christopher) Lindsay, and one son, Reginald (Latrisha) Jeter; four grandchildren, Wesley (Shekenia) Jeter, Jasmine (Shauntez, Sr.) Miller, Damion (Aleiha) Jeter, and Zaire Jeter; five great- grandchildren, Arianna Jeter, Keilan Jeter, Harper Jeter, Shauntez Miller, Jr., and Aubree Miller; one brother, Larry (Andrena) Jennings; three sisters, Ruby Cheek, Essie Mae Jennings, and Alberta Shelton; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and dear friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, Inc., 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
