Joseph Meador

Joseph McLeod Meador, 61, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at his residence,  A native of Union County, SC, he was the husband of Myra Tracey Foster Meador and the son of the late Lewis Meador and Amerzine Hooker Meador.  He was member of Little Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  He attended Spartanburg District Seven Schools. He was an employee of Transcontinental Spartanburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Morris Meador, Eugene Meador, Freeman Meador, and Anthony Meador and four sisters, Asta Marie Lyles, Balva Wilkes, Betty Faye Meador, and Barbara Ann Meador.  He leaves to cherish fond memories to his wife, Myra Meador; one son, Nehasse Rogers; four daughters, Tanganika Foster, Yacosa Foster, Shamangla Rogers, and Shaedra (Antwain) Bogan; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers, Lewis Meadows and Walter Smith; and host of neices, nephews, and cousins. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
