John Rickey Norman

John Rickey Norman of Crosskeys, SC, passed away on April 22, 2026, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Diane Morgan Norman. He was born on December 25, 1956, to the late Robert McBeth, Jr. and Jannie Pearl Norman.

“Rick” as everyone fondly called him, was educated in Union County Public Schools. He worked in the mill industry for over 40 years. He also worked at Wal-Mart and was self-employed for many years. He fellowshipped with Macedonia United Christian Church in Union, SC.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by five brothers, Jesse James Norman, Robert McBeth, Jr., Samuel McBeth, Malachi McBeth, Matthew McBeth; mother-in-law, Bessie D. Morgan; father-in-law, Thomas Morgan “Sonny” Sr.; and six brothers-in-law.

John leaves fond and precious memories to his loving wife, Diane Morgan Norman of the home; two sons, John “Snap” Rickey Norman Jr. (Michelle Coombs), and Adrian Jarard Morgan; grandson, Carter Brooks Morgan; god-son, Eric (Shante) Young; god-grandchildren, Mackenzy Young, and Brooks Young; sisters, Janice Dawkins, Janie Mae Dial, Delois Kelly, Vivian (Paul) Smith, and step-sister, Bernetta Smiley; sisters-in-law, Reverend Sadie Norman, Sally Morgan, Bessie Mae (Stanley) Woodruff, Jessie Morgan, and Michelle Morgan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His presence and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in knowing that his life was well lived and that his journey continues in the hearts and memories of those he touched.

The family will receive friends at 144 Sparkstown Drive, Enoree, SC. Arrangements have been entrusted to Community Mortuary, 361 Meansville Road, Union, SC.
