John Glenn Obituary

John Arthur Glenn, 82, of 127 Simpson Street, Spartanburg, SC passed Wednesday afternoon, April 1, 2020 at his residence. A native of Spartanburg County, SC, he was the son of the late Clifford Glenn and Annie Mae Johnson Glenn. He was a member of Lewis Chapel Baptist Church. He was a former employee of Univar Chemicals. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Andre’ Gist and Rodney Glenn; one brother, Robert Glenn; and one sister, Annie Glenn Cheeks. He is survived four sons, Willie (Sharon) Ferguson, Kenneth Glenn, Terrance Glenn, and Jason (Michelle) Glenn; one daughter, Vernette Rice; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three brothers, David (Mary) Glenn, Abraham Glenn, Rev. James Glenn; and a host of nieces, nephews. and cousins. Graveside services will be held at 1 pm Sunday, April 5, 2020 at Lewis Chapel Baptist Church. Arrangements are with Community Mortuary, 102 Marion Avenue, Spartanburg, SC.
